Everything we make begins with curiosity.

Before a garment takes shape, we spend time with it, imagining its movement, feeling its material, understanding its history. We trace how clothing has been worn, reshaped, and reinterpreted over time, letting these stories guide our hands. This research lives quietly in every seam, every fold, every gesture of the pieces we create.

BJERSBORN is a universe in progress. Every piece carries a part of our symbolic language that links one garment to another, one season to the next to grow our universe.

For those who want to look closer, we have created a space here to share the journey. Here, you can explore the research we’ve done, follow the threads of our process, and see the symbolic language that shapes BJERSBORN. It is an invitation to step into our world and see it through our eyes.

(This is a working procress and we will add more as we go.)

We work slowly, with attention and care. Our garments are not made to be consumed, but to grow with you, to evolve through wear, and to become part of your own rhythm. BJERSBORN will never be finished, it is a body of work unfolding, quietly, deliberately, and intimately.

Thank you!

Love,

BJERSBORN

Jelika Jacket

The Jelika Jacket is inspired by the patrol jackets worn by Hussar officers in the 19th century. Hussars were light cavalry units across Europe with origins from Hungary, known for uniforms that combined military function with precise tailoring and decorative structure. The patrol jacket was designed for daily wear, offering practicality, freedom of movement, and a defined silhouette.

Carla Coat

The Carla Coat is inspired by the cocoon coats introduced by Paul Poiret in the early 20th century. Poiret rejected corseted tailoring in favor of draped, enveloping silhouettes that allowed fabric to move freely around the body. Influenced by non-Western dress, including references to Egypt, these coats marked a shift toward modern, unstructured fashion. The Carla Coat reinterprets this historical form through contemporary proportion and material.

Signature Jersey

Our signature double layered jersey is constructed from two integrated layers, developed through pattern cutting rather than added hems. The fabric folds onto itself, allowing elements such as a tank top base and long sleeves to exist within a single garment. This approach takes inspiration from medieval dress, where garments were often built in layers for warmth, protection, and adaptability. Tunics, undergarments, and outer layers were designed to overlap and work together as one system rather than as styled additions. The double layered jersey translates this logic into a contemporary context — a garment that appears layered, yet is constructed as a single, unified piece.
