Everything we create begins with a desire to understand what lies beneath the surface.

Our work moves between memory, mythology and material. We look to Swedish landscapes, folklore and forgotten histories, tracing the ways garments have been worn, transformed and passed through time. These references become part of our design language, translated through silhouette, texture and construction rather than told literally. We work with materials that already hold a history, sourcing deadstock fabrics from Italian and French luxury houses and allowing their qualities to guide the process.

BJERSBORN is a universe in constant evolution. Each garment carries fragments of a larger narrative, connected through recurring symbols, unexpected contrasts and a dialogue between the delicate and the untamed. Every release adds another layer to this world, building on what came before while leaving room for what has yet to emerge.

This space is an invitation to look closer. Here, we share the research, references and experiments behind our work — the stories, images, materials and ideas that shape the universe of BJERSBORN. It is an ongoing archive of our process, growing alongside the garments themselves.

We believe in making with intention. Working with deadstock and certified fabrics, prioritising considered material choices and producing in limited quantities, we seek to create garments that exist beyond the moment they are introduced. Pieces that acquire character through wear, reveal new qualities over time and become part of the life of the person wearing them.

BJERSBORN is not a finished statement, but a body of work unfolding over time. A world built slowly, through material, memory and transformation.

Thank you for being here and for becoming part of it.

Love,
BJERSBORN

Jara Jacket

The Jara Jacket is crafted from flocked denim, a textile technique dating back centuries in which fine fibres are applied to a surface to create a raised, velvet-like texture. Green and yellow tones are carefully hand-dyed into the fabric, creating a shifting, moss-like surface that transforms with the light. Set against a grey denim base, the colours evoke the moss-covered stones of the Swedish landscape, where layers of organic growth meet the permanence of rock. With wear, the flocked surface gradually distresses at the elbows and other points of friction, revealing glimpses of the grey denim beneath, like bare stone emerging through the moss over time. A garment shaped by its environment, becoming more beautiful with every wear of use.

Tora Draped Jersey

The Tora Draped Jersey is crafted from a thin, semi-sheer silk and viscose blend, featuring a slim fit and an elongated silhouette designed to be pulled up into soft gathers. Integrated puffy shoulders, shaped directly into the pattern without seams or gathering, introduce a tougher almost armoured attitude to the otherwise delicate silhouette. A balance between the ethereal and the defiant, evoking the duality of the mythical figures.

Jelika Jacket

The Jelika Jacket is inspired by the patrol jackets worn by Hussar officers in the 19th century. Hussars were light cavalry units across Europe with origins from Hungary, known for uniforms that combined military function with precise tailoring and decorative structure. The patrol jacket was designed for daily wear, offering practicality, freedom of movement, and a defined silhouette.

Carla Coat

The Carla Coat is inspired by the cocoon coats introduced by Paul Poiret in the early 20th century. Poiret rejected corseted tailoring in favor of draped, enveloping silhouettes that allowed fabric to move freely around the body. Influenced by non-Western dress, including references to Egypt, these coats marked a shift toward modern, unstructured fashion. The Carla Coat reinterprets this historical form through contemporary proportion and material.
